EdReady uses a labeling convention called 'Categories' to indicate identifying characteristics of your students. The Categories in EdReady will be:

High School
- The schools participating in EdReady for Educate Texas have already been loaded into the platform

Program
- The programs participating in EdReady for Educate Texas have already been loaded into the platform

Graduation Year
- The values for current High School freshmen and sophomores (2026 and 2027) have already been loaded into the platform.
- Class Section (math & English): this is useful for grouping students into smaller cohorts in the reports.
For students: assigned sections (or a lack of sections) do not impact their EdReady experience: it is merely a labeling and grouping mechanism for the reports.
For staff: Permission to see student data is determined by categories a user has assigned. An assigned category will limit access to only students with the same value. If a user does not have a category assigned, then their student access is not limited for that category.
